Durbahn tail section

Custom carbon fiber self-supporting tail section for the 2006-2007 Suzuki GSXR 600-750 models. Made by Thorsten Durbahn in Germany. This unit is brand new, unused and never mounted. Has a black gel-coat type of finish. Extremely strong and light. Comes complete as from Durbahn with tail section, electronics & battery tray, seat pad and bracket. I purchased this for my 2006 Suzuki GSXR750 project, and will no longer be completing that, so this unique and rare (I purchased the last one) bit of kit is for sale. This seat unit replaces the whole stock rear sub frame and seat and is significantly lighter than the stock set up. As mentioned above it is carbon fiber with a black gel coat type finish. Will need prep before painting. If you want to expose the carbon weave it will take the sanding and removal of the gel coat and appropriate prep and clear coating. There were no instructions provided with the unit and the electronics tray, seat pad and tank bracket are all items that need to be mounted and appropriate holes drilled. The mounts for the tail section are heavy duty aluminum molded into the tail section. This unit is designed along the lines of full race bikes as a self-supporting seat/tail section for the race track. There are no provisions for tail lights although I have seen units mounted on street bikes with tail lights. Any brackets for lights, exhaust mounting and other accessories are not supplied. This is a raw piece of body work and not a project for a first time bike builder unless you already have some experience mounting body work and providing or modifying brackets. This is a custom piece that will require the builder to mount and modify to suit their vision.
